Colorwork

How do I decide which colors to work with? I look for them outside, mostly. Nature has brilliant ideas about colors and contrasts, and when I see a good combination, I make a note of it. Look at this beautiful trout lily! Its bright yellows and moody purples would make a lovely shawl, don't. you think?
